The 53 Butterscotch Blonde Blackguard is no doubt synonymous with Keith Richard.  Our tribute to the Micawber replicates signs of heavy pick wear, particularly on the upper bout of the body where the finish has worn completely off, exposing the wood beneath.  Reflecting the original, we have incorporated a '50s PAF humbucker to give it a little extra bite, turning backwards, so the magnet poles face the tail end of the guitar. While the original was transformed into a 5-string by taking off the low E string, we have opted to keep the 6th string.  Removing this is, however, optional.

Features include an ash body with nitrocellulose lacquer finish, 1-ply aged Black pickguard and custom 6-saddle brass bridge.  A single-coil '50s pickup in the bridge, hand-wound to vintage specifications, ensure this guitar retains the classic sound of the era.  Other features include our 1-piece maple Vintage "C" neck, 9.5" radius fretboard with rolled neck edges and black dots, rolled and polished Vintage Jumbo frets, bone nut and vintage-style machine heads.  All our guitars now include a Fraser tweed hard case as standard.
