Our Custom Series Candy Apple Red Medium Relic ‘60s S-Style takes you back in time, with a deep contoured body in alder, nitrocellulose lacquer finish, 3-ply aged Mint Green pickguard and tremolo. With indications of the ages, such as discoloration of plastic parts and metal hardware showing moderate signs of oxidation, the Candy Apple Red nitro is worn, with the exposed wood evoking its journey and weathering though time.
Other features include our Vintage "C" maple neck with 9.5" radius slab rosewood fretboard, rolled fretboard edges, rolled and polished Vintage Jumbo frets, bone nut and vintage-style machine heads. A duo of single-coil '60s pickups, hand-wound to vintage specifications, are accompanied by a hand-wound Zebra Humbucker in the bridge. The 5-way switch incorporates an S-1 volume switch - enabling you to split the Humbucker to single coil at the push of a button. This model offers lower noise and a little more output for those who play using overdriven sounds. All our guitars now include a Fraser tweed hard case as standard.
